Raymond Vineyards are said to be one of the most interesting vineyards in Napa Valley. Now that I have visited myself I can only agree. The decor is like no other. If one blindfolded me and took me there I would think I’m on a movie set. Or in Graceland. Everything from the ceiling to the carpet is made of wood, crystal and luxurious textiles, especially in the Red Room.
The vineyard’s proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset has given this 50-year-old wine destination his style. Guests come here to enjoy wine in an elegant setting. Furthermore, Raymond wines are organic and biodynamic. Guests can taste cabernets directly from barrels in the Barrel Cellar.
Another great activity to try is “Winemaker for a Day”. For $125, one can blend wine, create a custom label, and take the bottle home.
Taking a tour of this extravagant winery is certainly an experience you don’t want to miss when visiting St. Helena.
