The Minor Family Winery in Oakville, California retrieves their grapes from several vineyards along the coast. They produce 30,000 cases a year, although they have the capacity of 80,000 cases. Wine tastings cost $25 and are available without a reservation. The tasting includes a few Chardonnays, Viognier and wonderful reds. Their signature Oracle is a blend of five Bordeaux varieties. The winemaker changes the percentage of each variety every year which makes every vintage unique.
I had the opportunity to see their spacious cellar with a dining room both of which are used for private events. Travis gave a tour and let me taste this year’s merlot from the barrel. Miner Winery is a must-visit when in Napa Valley!
